Stelios Rekkas, MD

STELIOS REKKAS, MD, FACS, FASMBS, is a board-certified general surgeon and is fellowship trained in minimally invasive, robotic, and bariatric surgery. He and his team provide general surgery and weight management services to patients at their Bradenton office and at Manatee Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Rekkas completed his medical degree at the Florida State University College of Medicine in Tallahassee, Fla. and his fellowship at Jackson Hospital in Miami, Fla.

Dr. Rekkas serves at the Director of Bariatric Surgery at Manatee Memorial Hospital and is a designated Robotic Surgical Proctor on the daVinci Surgical Platform for Intuitive, teaching other surgeons from across the US how to best utilize technology to improve patient outcomes.
